Veneers

Veneers are coverings that are placed on the front surfaces of (usually) the front teeth.

They are made of either porcelain or tooth coloured filling material (composite resin).

Porcelain Veneers require some reduction of the front surface of the tooth (approximately half a millimetre). Impressions are taken and sent to the laboratory. The technician makes the veneers according to our prescription. Photography is a great aid in our communication with the laboratory.

Approximately two weeks later, the porcelain veneers are bonded to the teeth.

teeth during sleep (bruxism)

Porcelain veneers restored her beautiful smile.

Composite resin veneers are bonded directly on the teeth. No or minimal reduction of the teeth is required.

Composite resin veneers can be used in many cases, but some cases where extreme shade changes or change of shape is required composite resin will not suffice and porcelain is the only option.
